• DURABLE STRUCTURE: 20”x 4.5” Transparent Housing Set is proper for high-flow applications. The housing body is made of reinforced polypropylene for strength & resistance to chemicals, the black cap is made of high-flow polypropylene for toughness. Food grade material makes all filtered water is safe & healthy. The cap has 1" inlet / outlet brass ports which allowed better sealed connections to the corresponding pipes. This unit is appropriate for well water, commercial & industrial filtration.

• POINT OF USE: Those Housings for use in various high-flow applications and is usually placed in the main water line entering the house including, but not limited to residential drinking water filtration, well water filtration, food service, and irrigation. Extends life of Washing Machines, Water Heaters & Other Household Appliances Keeps water fresh by reducing and removing iron, manganese, chlorine, hydrogen sulfide, herbicides, pesticides, and other industrial chemicals.

• EASY TO OPERATE: There are 2 rubber O-rings on the top of the housing body to ensure a watertight seal. Such design allowed properly seal cap and housing body to prevent water leakage when you replace cartridge. The built-in red pressure relief button on the inlet side of the cap releases pressure in the housing for changing filter cartridges. According to system size leave 4 inches free space should be left between bottom of the system and floor to allowed easy filter cartridge replacement.

Sediment Filter is often the first filter installed in the Whole House Water Filter circuit. 20" x 4.5" filters are made of fine-melted polypropylene that are blown and spun into cylinder-like form. Removal of these particles allows filters, such as Carbon Block or GAC (Granular Activated Carbon) filters, as well as household water appliances like boilers, refrigerators, ice-makers, and many more, to perform better for longer periods of time.

Pleated sediment water filters reduces sand, dirt, silt, rust, & scale particles in residential and commercial water. Pleated filters are made of resin-impregnated cellulose and polyester media pleated around a polypropylene core for strength. These materials trap suspended particles, materials that block microbes and adsorb unwanted chemicals or substances that cause a chemical change to the water, such as acid neutralization. The pleated design provides an amplified surface area that may extend the filter’s life while removing undesirable particles and chemicals from the water by means of a semipermeable barrier, adsorption, & biological processes. Those filters are washable & reusable.

Advantage of pleated filters is that they protect against a lower pressure drop & allow increased water flow rates. Pleated cartridges outperform standard wound, spun, & melt blown filters because of their re-usability.

Since these filters are made of a finely packed carbon (forming a cylinder block), they offer a much finer filtration of suspended particles and dirt.
